DNOW 2023 | Weekend Event | Students

Description: DNOW (Discipleship Now) is a weekend event coming up on February 17-19 (not an overnight event). Join us at the Church at Harpeth Heights while we spend time in God’s Word, worship together, fellowship with one another, serve together, and have some fun in the process. Come hang and bring your friends as we dive deeper into what it means to follow the real Jesus and to be unashamed about it! Unashamed of the Gospel will be our theme for the week. We want students to spend their lives not ashamed of following Jesus but instead to be zealous about following Him, knowing Him, and making Him known.

Key details about the event: **This is not an overnight event. We are still working on the schedule. But the event will kick off Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and students will go home that night. We will then meet back Saturday morning for a full day at 9:00 a.m. We will end Saturday afternoon/evening by going to DEFY trampoline park. Saturday should be done in the evening. We will then meet Sunday morning at our regular Student Group time at 9:00 a.m. to finish our last session of the event. Students will then gather with the rest of the church to worship at 10:30 a.m.

**We will be taking your students off campus under adult supervision. Details are still being worked out, but we will most likely take groups of students to different schools in the area to pray over the schools and for the students who attend there. We will then take the students to DEFY trampoline park in Brentwood, Tennessee and then we will bring them back to the church ready for you to pick them up Saturday evening.

**Registering your student for DNOW tells us you are giving us permission for your student to participate in off-campus activities. ** Please do not register your students for this event if you do not want them to participate in off-campus activity because we will not be able to watch your students while we leave the campus for our activities. (Email Steve Wilkinson with any question about this).

**If your student is vegetarian, vegan, or has severe food allergies please pack them a lunch for Saturday. We have a refrigerator in the student area where they can put their food.

REGISTRATION and PAPERWORK DEADLINE: Sunday, February 12

Student Cost: $30

• Parents can pay with cash or check. Please make the checks payable to the church and write DNOW in the memo section. Please give your payment to either Steve Wilkinson or Kristie Terrell. The easiest way is to pay them on a Sunday or Wednesday at church. Alternately, you can come by the church office Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The payment deadline is February 12.

  • • *Important | Parents must show proof that they signed this waiver. Steve will need to show the staff at DEFY proof for each student that they signed this wavier. The easiest way is, after DEFY emails you the waiver you signed, just email that wavier to Steve and he will print them off for you ([email protected]rpethheightschurch.com). Or you can send Steve a picture of the confirmation page that pops up after you signed the waiver (Steve’s number 931-636-3126).
• A copy of your insurance card, front and back (this can be emailed to [email protected]).
• **If students need to take medication during the time we will be meeting, please inform Steve Wilkinson ([email protected]). Also inform Steve if your student has an EpiPen. As of right now we plan on not having a nurse available who could distribute your student’s medication to them.
