We’ve Got Some Exciting News!

Something exciting is happening at Harpeth Heights. This fall, we’re renovating some of the most-used spaces across our campus—and we can’t wait for you to see them.

Harpeth Heights has had a strong gospel presence in the West Nashville community since 1939. For more than eight decades, God has used this church to welcome people, build relationships, and faithfully proclaim the gospel. We want to build on that legacy by fueling the gospel work God is already doing here—and by preparing our campus to reach the people who aren’t here yet.

And God is clearly at work among us. Since 2023, our weekend attendance has grown by about 40%. Our VBS has grown right along with it, from around 30 kids in 2023 to more than 90 this year. Community events like Trunk or Treat and Eggstravaganza, which once drew about 100 people, now welcome 400–500 of our neighbors.

Every one of those moments is an open door, a chance to welcome more people, build real relationships, and share the hope of the gospel. As God continues to bring people to Harpeth Heights, we want to ensure our campus is ready to welcome them.

Hospitality is central to who we are. We’re known as a warm, welcoming church, and we want our facilities to reflect that same spirit. So we’re refreshing the spaces our families and guests use most: the building exterior (paint, trim, and handrails), the Fellowship Hall with its side hallways and bathrooms, our kids’ area, the central bathrooms between the Worship Center and Fellowship Hall, and Entrance D.

This isn’t just about a building looking newer. It’s about creating a space that feels warm, cared for, and ready, so that everyone who walks through our doors senses that they belong here and has every opportunity to encounter our church family and discover the love of Christ.

We’re grateful for the faithful people who’ve made Harpeth Heights what it is, and we’re expectant about what God has next. We can’t wait to welcome you into these renewed spaces.

What's being renovated?

We’re refreshing five key areas of our campus: the entire building exterior (including trim and handrails), the Fellowship Hall along with its side hallways and bathrooms, our kids’ area, the bathrooms in the hallway between the Worship Center and Fellowship Hall, and Entrance D. Together, these updates touch the spaces our families and guests use most.

When does the work begin, and how long will it take?


Work begins in mid-September 2026. We’re planning for the renovations to wrap up by the end of the calendar year, and we’ll keep you posted as each area is finished.

Will services and church activities continue to meet during construction?

Yes! Weekend worship, kids ministry, and our regular gatherings will continue right through the renovation. You may notice a few temporary changes along the way—like a space being used a little differently for a season—but we’ll always let you know ahead of time so you know exactly what to expect. For example, The Living Well Sunday Small Group and our Wednesday Night dinner and “Table” Bible study will be meeting in the gym during renovations of the Fellowship Hall. We’re fortunate to have several useable spaces that will be easily modified to fit our needs during this renovation. Will parking or the entrances change while the work is happening?

At times, yes—especially while we’re painting the exterior and updating Entrance D. Whenever an entrance or parking area is temporarily affected, we’ll have clear signage and friendly volunteers ready to help you find your way.

What about my kids during the work on the kids' area?

Your children are in good hands. Kids ministry will continue meeting throughout the project, and if we need to use a temporary space while the kids’ area is being renovated, we’ll keep check-in simple and point you to the right place.

How is the renovation being funded? Is there a special giving campaign?

This renovation is already fully funded, so there’s no special campaign or giving ask tied to it. It’s simply the next step in caring well for the campus God has given us.

Why are we doing this now?

God is clearly at work at Harpeth Heights—our attendance has grown about 40% since 2023, and our kids ministry and community events have grown right along with it. More people are walking through our doors than ever, and we want our facilities to match the warmth of our church family and remove any barrier that might keep a first-time guest from feeling at home.

Is the Worship Center or a new main entrance part of this project?

This project is focused on the five areas listed above. We’re always praying about and looking for ways to make our campus more welcoming, but these specific spaces are our focus right now.

How can I help?

The best things you can do are pray for the work and extend a little extra grace and patience during construction. And keep doing what we do best—welcoming every person who walks through our doors like family.
