Texas Flooding Response

[UPDATE: July 8, 2025]

Dear Brentwood Baptist Staffs and Campuses,

We wanted to reach out as we know many of you are fielding questions and concerns about all that has happened in light of the flooding in Texas and the horrific loss during this time. People have asked about ways to help, give, support, and serve. In instances like this we ask that you bathe those in prayer that will be walking out life with these families and this area for long seasons to come. Pray for the church there as they engage with others wrestling with why and how these things happen. What we will continue to do, as in any situation, is rely on our partners such as Tennessee Baptist Mission Board that are connected to those on the ground to know how and if our physical support is needed in more tangible ways. As we know Tennessee Baptist Mission Board works hand in hand with other state convention offices. As any state experiences trauma, they work with that state to know if more help is needed. We want to step back learn and listen well always.

So, as you receive questions please reply in these ways:

You can:

  • PRAY: Please for families, the community, leaders, doors to be opened for people to respond to the Gospel.
  • GIVE: Here is the link to TBMB for the Texas Relief Fund: Contributions – Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief
  • WAIT: If we hear of ways that we can serve in further ways we will reach out to share more.

Thank you for all that you do as you navigate these questions in your various spaces. As always, do not hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
