Matthew 5:13-37
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus doesn’t lower the bar when it comes to the law, he raises it. By making it clear that he came to fulfill the law, he helps us clarify that we are called towards wholeness and maturity in faith. If we are to be the light of the world what darkness do we need to confess and put under the lordship of Jesus (anger, lust, adultery, speech)?
